Faith in Action
As the body of Christ, it's hard for any one individual or group to tackle all the needs around us. That's why Moses was counseled to recruit help (Deuteronomy 1:9-17). The same instruction was given to the early church (Acts 6:1-6).
Faith in Action offers compassionate volunteer services for people in need all across Cass County. It is our desire to come along side your congregation, community and mission in helping you meet needs in a number of tangible ways:
Care Receivers & Care Givers Benefit From
Assessment of needs;
Referral to a broad range of resources;
Trained Volunteers and the secruity of Volunteer criminal background checks; and
Compassionate, coordinated Volunteer services such as: transportation to medical appointments and errands, friendly visiting and respite, help with household chores and minor home repair, ramps and more!
Volunteers Receive
Mileage reimbursement to help offset the costs of transportation;
Excess auto liability insurance coverage;
State and County background check clearance;
Training and support from Faith in Action staff and coordinators; and the best benefit of all,
The spiritual satisfaction gained through serving others.
Just as important as a financial contribution to Faith in Action is your outreach - helping us get the word out to people in your community in need, and to those who have gifts of service. We invite your congregation to partner with us in whatever way possible to meet as many needs as possible - together.
