How much of my contribution really goes to help Faith in Action for Cass County?

• 100%!  That's right!  Every penny you give to support Faith in Action, stays with Faith in Action.

What is my contribution used for?

• Program Coordination.  Your contribution is used to coordinate the services of over 150 Voluteers serving 200+ people in need all across Cass County.
• Program Maintainance.  FIA has all the typical costs of maintaining an office and communications with two part-time paid staff.  In addition to wages, there are the costs of postage, printing, phone and internet.
• Volunteers Mileage Reimbursement & Insurance.  Besides coordinating the assignments of Volunteers with the many needs throughout our very large, rural County, our biggest expenses are for Volunteer mileage reimbursement and insurance.

Can I claim a tax deduction for my contribution?

• Yes!  Faith in Action is a nonprofit, 501(c)3, charitable organization.  (We encourage you to check with your accountant for guidelines)

We do not charge for our service; care receivers contribute as they are able.  Some give regularly, others are not able to give at all.  While income does not determine eligibility, we strive to assist those who lack other resources to meet their needs.

Less than half of our annual income comes through renewable grant funding from the MN Department of Human Services and the Central MN Council on Aging. 

State grants are becoming more difficult to come by.  For the rest, we count on the generosity of individuals, churches, civic groups, local businesses, private grants and special events.  It's a steady effort for a worthy cause.
