How Do I Get Help?

I'm having trouble getting where I need to go...

I'm having trouble staying independent in my own home due to age or health concerns...

I'm experiencing other difficult circumstances in my life...

I lack the necessary resources to meet my everyday needs...

I don't know where to turn to get the help I need...

If you have these or any other concerns, Call Us Today!!

Signing up with Faith in Action is easy.
  • When you call, we'll arrange a time, at your convenience, for one of our staff or Volunteer coordinators to visit you at your home.
  • We'll get some very basic information about your situation and your specific needs.
  • And we'll tell you more about how Faith in Action works.

Faith in Action isn't intended replace the help of available friends, family or neighbors; nor to replace the help you can afford to hire.  However, when these resources are not available to you, that's when Volunteers with Faith in Action step in to help.

While donations are always accepted with gratitude, there are no charges for this service.

For Individuals -
Ways We Can Help

Our office is a friendly, safe place to call or visit, where you can find help for your needs!  Even if your situation is not something our Volunteers can help you with, we are happy to give you the best tools and other helpful resources at our disposal.

We receive calls for many different types of assistance.  Thankfully, we are equipped with talented Volunteers who are gifted in a variety of skills.  Following is a general list of services we offer:

  • Transportation - rides to medical appointments and errands
  • Homemaker - preparing meals, light housekeeping, assisting with mail
  • Home Modification/Repair - fixing a faucet, installing a railing, building a ramp
  • Chore - heavy housework, snow removal, yard work
  • Respite/Friendly Visiting - being with someone while their caregiver is away from home, visiting with someone who needs company
  • Meal Delivery/Grocery Shopping - when someone can't get out, our Volunteers come in
  • Telephone Assurance

If your particular need was not in the above list, feel free to ask us about it.

 For Family or Professionals

We often hear from concerned family members and professionals with health or social service agencies.  If someone you know could benefit from the friendly assistance of a Volunteer, we'll gladly discuss how we might help in your situation.

We know it can often be difficult to place that first call for help.  However, we feel it makes a big difference when an individual places that call themselves.  Maintaining a sense of control is very important to self-worth.  So, unless the individual you're concerned about is unable to call for themselves, we suggest you encourage them to do so.

The Faith in Action Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteers strictly abide by our policies regarding confidentiality, and are not able to release any information without written authorization from the individual served.

We'd be glad to send you our brochure or make an appointment to meet you at our office, at your office, or in your home.
